The young Arthur Cissé Gué, distinguished himself brilliantly; he came in first with a time of 20’23. The Ivorian sprinter edged Jamaican Julian Forte, second with a time of 20’39 and Frenchman Christophe Lemaître who completed the podium with a time of 20’68.
As for Marie Josée Ta Lou, she finished 2nd in the women’s 100m final. The Ivorian in 11’21 was beaten at the finish line by Jamaican Elaine Thompson (10’87). American Kayla White (11’25) came in third.
