Residents of the Ivory Coast,
Men and Women in love with peace and justice,
Dear friends of the press,
We, women of the platforms of opposition parties and civil society organizations, who suffer in our flesh, as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and full citizens of this dear Ivory Coast, would like, Through this declaration, invite all our sisters to mobilize massively, to take part in the big meeting to be held this Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Felix Houphouët Boigny stadium.
This meeting is part of the slogan of CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE launched on September 20, by President Henri Konan BEDIE, and endorsed by all 56 political parties of the opposition as well as organizations of society. civil.
Through our massive presence, we want, alongside our Men and our Youth, to raise our voices to demand:
– The withdrawal of the illegal and unconstitutional candidacy of Sieur Alassane Dramane Ouattara
– The Dissolution of the Constitutional Council at the orders of power
– The dissolution of the one-colored and subservient CEI
– The audit of the current electoral list by an international firm
– The unconditional release of political and military prisoners because they exist, contrary to what we are led to believe
We demand the release of our imprisoned brothers and sisters:
Pulchérie GBALLET, YEBOUE Akissi Antoinette, KOUA Justin and all the women of the GPS arrested during the march of last August 13, including the president Anne Marie BONIFON.
The return of political exiles headed by President Laurent GBAGBO, President Guillaume Kigbafori SORO, Ministers Charles BLE GOUDE, Anaky Kobena and Mayor Noël Akossi BENDJO.
Women of Ivory Coast, the salvation of the Ivorian people is in our hands; We are the ones who give life, we are the ones who educate society and we cannot be complicit in a new electoral crisis after that of 2010 which left at least 3,000 dead.
The country is therefore counting on us like our predecessors who defied the colonists by the historic march on Grand-Bassam;
We represent 49% of the electorate in Côte d’Ivoire. We do not have the right to escape from the new writing of our country’s history.
Women of Ivory Coast, a local saying goes: “what Woman wants, GOD wants”.
With faith, abnegation and love, let us resolutely engage in the battle for respect for our fundamental law and freedom of expression in our country.
Long live respect for the constitution so that Ivory Coast can live.
God is love.
Ms. Adèle N’DABIAN Executive Secretary in charge of women of the PDCI-RDA
