(AIB) – The government announced on Wednesday that 18 Burkinabè died in a traffic accident, 20 km from the entrance to the town of Bouaké, in Côte d’Ivoire.
The minister, spokesperson for the Burkinabè government, Remis Fulgance Dandjinou, informed journalists on Wednesday, after the council of ministers, of the death of 18 Burkinabè following a bus accident 20 km from the entrance to Bouaké, in Ivory Coast.
“This is a transport bus that would have overturned in an unsuccessful overtaking,” said Minister Remis Fulgance Dandjinou. He specified that “among the wounded, there are three serious”.
The Burkinabè government, through its spokesperson, presented “its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident and wished a speedy recovery to the injured”.
According to Remis Fulgance Dandjinou, the Burkinabè consul in Bouaké and the Ambassador of Burkina Faso in Côte d’Ivoire are mobilized to take care of the wounded.
“There is additional information that will be given to you as and when by the ministry in charge of Burkinabè abroad,” he assured journalists.
Minister Remis Fulgance Dandjinou was speaking at the end of the traditional cabinet meeting.
