U.S. President Donald Trump is in stable condition in his recovery from coronavirus illness and can safely resume public engagements on Saturday, his doctor Sean Conley said.
“Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday’s diagnosis (of his infection), and based on the trajectory of the advanced diagnoses the team has conducted, I fully anticipate the President’s safe return to public engagements at this. time, “Conley said in a published memorandum. by the White House Thursday night.
“I’m doing very well. A rally in Florida on Saturday night, in Pennsylvania the following night,” said US President Donald Trump speaking on Fox News in the evening. “First Lady Melania is also doing very well and is recovering,” added the President.
Trump then said he would be tested in the next few hours to see if he was cured of the coronavirus.
Note that the 74-year-old president is eager to get back on the electoral track, a few weeks before the November 3 elections. National polls have shown Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, 77-year-old former vice president, widening his lead over Trump following last week’s chaotic first presidential debate and news of the coronavirus infection of Trump.
Earlier Thursday, the Trump and Biden campaigns proposed to postpone the next scheduled debate by one week until October 22.
