After the presidential election on October 31, the situation remains very tense in Côte d’Ivoire. Following the slogans of several Internet users calling for continued mobilization against a third “unconstitutional” mandate of President Alassane Ouattara, this Monday, November 9, several towns in Côte d’Ivoire took to the streets again to demand respect for the Constitution.

This Monday, November 9, three young boys were killed during protests against a third term of Head of State Alassane Ouattara in Skensi.

According to testimonies gathered from eyewitnesses, demonstrators were taken to task by the police positioned in Elibou with live ammunition causing at least three deaths and several injuries.

As a reminder, Sikensi is a town in the south of Côte d’Ivoire and also one of the four departments of the Agnéby-Tiassa region since July 2011, with regard to its legislative representation and is now part of the Lagunes district.
