(IRNA) – Zarif reaffirmed that Iran will honor its commitments under the JCPOA if the Europeans and the United States honor the nuclear deal.

Addressing the 6th edition of the Mediterranean Dialogues (Rome MED 2020) via videoconference on Thursday, Zarif stressed that Tehran will not hold further discussions on what has already been agreed in the JCPOA. Denouncing the US breach of the 2015 nuclear deal, Zarif said, “Washington has violated (UN) Security Council resolutions and the Trump administration is a rogue regime. Washington must end the violation of the JCPOA. He also reaffirmed that Iran will honor its commitments under the JCPOA if the Europeans and the United States honor the nuclear deal.

The senior Iranian diplomat further denounced the crimes that the Saudi regime and its Arab and Western allies have committed against Yemen. “The West sells arms to (some) Persian Gulf states to support the war against Yemen. They (the West) supported the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and continue to support Israeli terrorism, ”Zarif lamented. In his speech, Zarif also condemned the assassination of prominent Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh as an act of international aggression, saying Iran is still waiting for the UK, France and Germany to condemn the attack. . Mediterranean Dialogues is the annual high-level initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ISPI (Italian Institute for International Political Studies).
