The president of the National Elections Authority (ANE), Mathias Morouba published Monday, January 4, 2021 in Bangui, the provisional results of the presidential election of December 27, giving the winner in the first round the outgoing president, Faustin Archange Touadéra with 53.92% of the vote.

The provisional results place Annicet Georges Doleguélé, leader of the opposition in second position with 21.01% and Martin Ziguélé, president of the MLPC in third place with 7.46%.

The National Election Authority also announces the turnout at 76.31% and the final results will only be proclaimed by the Constitutional Court after examining the appeals.

It should be noted that the grouped elections of December 27 were disrupted in several provincial towns by the intimidation of armed groups grouped together in a new coalition called “Coalition of Patriots for Change (CPC)”.
