PRESIDENT GBAGBO LAURENT BECOMES A CATHOLIC CHRISTIAN: HERE IS Mgr KUTWA’S DECLARATION
Is it Men’s Day? We have to feel this. So I decided that one man represents all men today. I will ask President Gbagbo to do me the honor. I would like to make a big announcement to you. President Laurent Gbagbo, will you allow me?
President Laurent was baptized Catholic. But in his journey, at one point he left the church to become an evangelical. And after that little tour of the evangelicals, he thought to himself, no I’m coming back. I am coming back to the religion in which I was baptized. But then coming back he said this, yes I was baptized, but Catholic, I only carried the name. Now that I’m back, I want to be an activist Catholic.
But then, on behalf of all the women and children who celebrate us today, I give you this rosary. So in giving you this rosary, I entrust you to the Virgin Mary, because the line of reconciliation is on the rails, but this train must go to the Peace Station.
Our Lady will accompany you until this becomes a reality for all of Côte d’Ivoire. Once again, Happy Father’s Day everyone.
