TOLOnews – Former Vice President Amrullah said in a tweet that the Taliban headquarters had been disrupted by public uprising forces.
Ahmad Massoud, the son of Afghan national hero Ahmad Shah Massoud, said on Wednesday that the Afghan mujahedin stand ready for a military confrontation with the Taliban if the group does not live up to its peace commitments.
At a rally in Kabul, Massoud and former jihadist commanders called on the Afghan people and Mujahedin commanders to stand united, saying President Ashraf Ghani was skeptical of the strength of the Mujahedin and dismissed them from ongoing issues. .
Massoud said there is no justification for war as foreign forces withdraw from the country.
“In case the parties see a military solution as an issue for Afghanistan, we will also make our own military preparations within the structure of the mujahedin, with the suggestions of the mujahedin, with the support of the people and under the aegis. of the ulemas to bring an Islamic system that is the real demand of the people, ”Massoud said.
“If the negotiations are successful, that will be a good thing, but if the Taliban try to enter Kabul by force or seek to occupy Afghanistan, this broad resistance front should spark a revolution against any maneuver of intimidation”, said Sayed Mohammad Ali Jawed, the leader of the Harakat-e-Islami party.
“The president has no confidence in the power and strength of the Mujahedin, I pray that neither they nor we need each other,” Ahmad Massoud said.
Critics at the meeting accused some politicians of making deals in pursuit of personal agendas.
Massoud’s warning follows reports in the media weeks ago that men are taking up arms in Takhar, Baghlan, Daikundi and Baghlan provinces.
