This Sunday, August 29, the Basketball Elephants won on the last day against Nigeria (77-68). Côte d’Ivoire gets its ticket for the quarter-finals.
Note that Rwanda is home to the 30th African men’s basketball championship, the Afrobasket. Sixteen teams are in contention including the Ivory Coast. The Ivory Coast is housed in Pool C with Nigeria, Mali and Kenya.
As a reminder, the 24 matches of the group stage will take place from August 24 to 29. The winners of each group will automatically advance to the quarter-finals, while the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd will compete against each other to complete the draw. The teams which take the last place in their group will be eliminated.
