The Taliban deployed special forces early Tuesday to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, hours after the last US forces evacuated the site, a Taliban spokesperson confirmed.
The Taliban’s Badri special forces have been deployed to Kabul airport. “Security is assured at the airport,” senior Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters on site on Tuesday.
