The Russian army destroyed a warehouse of weapons supplied by the United States and European countries in the Ukrainian province of Kharkov.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told a press conference on Saturday about the progress made in the special operation in Ukraine, such as the destruction of a large number of weapons stored in the Bogodukhov station area in the province. of Kharkov (eastern Ukraine), in addition to announcing the death of some 280 nationalist militiamen.

The senior officer added that Russian air-to-surface missiles attacked five positions of Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed an artillery warehouse in Bájmut, territory claimed by Dontesk.

Over the past 24 hours, Konashenkov continued, the Russian military attacked 18 military objects, including two command points, five troop concentration areas, military equipment and three fuel warehouses.

In turn, the Air Force shot down 13 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and intercepted three Tochka U ballistic missiles and nine projectiles from the Smerch multiple rocket launch systems, he added.

Russian officials say Moscow aims to ‘demilitarize’ and ‘denazify’ the European country, as well as prevent the US-led North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from making it a base anti-Russian.

Russia has repeatedly made it clear that weapons sent by Washington and other members of the military bloc to Ukraine are legitimate targets for Russian forces.
